Formerly known as ITCML Ltd, the company has changed its brand to Ludwick Precision to reflect its expanding customer base across a range of industry sectors. The new company name, Ludwick Precision Ltd, marks a new chapter for the sheet metal fabrication business and its future ambitions, whilst acknowledging its heritage and expertise built up over a quarter of a century.
Ludwick Precision is a specialist in the fabrication of high quality bespoke products from sheet metal, box section and tube. The Hertfordshire-based company supports clients in many sectors, including aerospace, automotive, catering and electronics, as well as office furniture, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications. Ludwick Precision is a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading commercial office furniture retailers and long-term provider of custom-built laboratory desk and storage solutions to the UK pharma sector.
Core services offered by Ludwick Precision from its Hitchin facility include a full manufacturing consultancy service, incorporating prototyping and CNC laser cutting, metal forming, fabrication, welding and linishing, painting and assembly. In addition, Ludwick Precision has a high level of expertise in working with materials such as aluminium, brass, copper, mild steel, stainless steel, tin, titanium and zinc. Combined with a tailor-made project management service, customers have the reassurance that their products will be made to an extremely high standard, on time and within budget.
Managing Director Michael Ludwick established CML Engineering in 1989 and spent the next ten years developing a specialism for sheet metal fabrication within the IT sector, producing data racks for the fast-growing computer industry. The company was subsequently rebranded to ITCML in 1999 as the business continued to expand and build long-term client partnerships in a variety of sectors.
This breadth of expansion has led to the new incarnation of the business to Ludwick Precision Ltd, which will help the business to position itself as a forward-looking sheet metal specialist that is able to support a broader customer base, not to mention the evolution of the company under the stewardship of Michael’s son, Ryian, who will be driving Ludwick Precision forward in the years ahead.
